PART THREE OF JOEL'S TASMANIA FIELD TRIP
After the Cradle Mountains elopement, we got a ferry the next day back to the mainland. We drove straight to Mt Hotham where we spent a lot of time snowboarding and exploring.
We also did some work for the Hotham Resort Marketing team for a campaign promoting “what you can do at Hotham besides ski and snowboard”, so we were lucky enough to photograph a cool couple in some pretty rad locations.
If you've never taken a sled dog tour, I highly recommend it. It's such a cool, calming way to take in the sights. I'll definitely be back for another one!
Once we got to our shooting location, I was in awe of the view. Capturing this sweet couple was just the cherry on top of a great day.
The light from a small fishing boat we just happened the stumble upon created a soft, warm glow.
It felt like I got to capture the couple's aura from behind the lens.
After snowshoeing around the resort, it was time to wind down with burgers, beer, and a delicious cheese plate.
The couple planned their next day's trek between bites.
The photography workshop was the perfect end to a perfect trip.
Now to gear up for September and October's excursions!
