In the heart of winter, it was time to head back to an old favorite.
The South Island of New Zealand is an incredible place, and its natural beauty continues to draw me back time after time. You might have to bring a heavy jacket and gloves with you, but the photos you leave with are breathtaking.
A short 9 day trip, I focused more attention on capturing people among these awe-inspiring natural landscapes. I placed a very large emphasis on linking up with other creatives on this trip, and I made some incredible friends doing so.
My usual style of photography is purely landscapes, and it was incredibly refreshing to include more people in my photographs. Most importantly, it was fantastic to have people with me to share the infinitely beautiful moments that were presented to me on this trip.
The trip was a series of epic hikes that lead to even more epic scenery. To share these unreal settings with other inspiring visual artists and friends made this a trip that will stick with me for a very long time.
